How to Split a single transaction into multiple transactions.

<This article refers to using your Transaction Detail sheet which is linked in your Dashboard.>

In certain cases, you will want to “Split” the a single transaction into multiple transactions. This occurs when one transaction contains multiple names or accounts. For instance, you’ve made a single bank deposit that includes checks from 2 of your customers, and you want to show this detail.

To enter a split:

  1. Select the cell that contains the amount you want to Split, and type the word “Split” over the amount.
  2. Then “Right-Click” on that cell.
  3. Select “Insert Note”.
  4. Type the details of the split into the small note window that appears. (Make sure the split amounts equal the original amount)
